Pay Gaps Action Plan

We've developed a Pay Gaps Action Plan to ensure pay equity within the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai.

At the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai, we believe that employing a diverse range of people, reflective of our country’s demographic makeup, helps us to understand the communities we work with so we can serve them better.

We are also committed to developing an equitable workplace where all our people feel accepted and valued. To support these commitments, we’ve developed two Pay Gaps Action Plans, focused on the six Kia Toipoto milestones developed by the Public Services Commission (Te Kawa Mataaho). These plans set out the steps we have taken and those we are working toward.

Our 2025 – 2026 plan recognises the progress we have made against our original plan developed in 2022 and continues our work to ensure bias does not influence starting salaries, or any other aspect of our employees compensation. This work will support us to close our pay gaps.
