Network Environmental Performance Reports
The insights we provide based on the data we receive on performance measures are published in our annual Network Environmental Performance Report (NEPR). The reports also contain examples of best practice, specific risks or concerns that relate to network performance or practices, and information on how different networks across the country are performing. Each annual report will cover the period from 1 July to 30 June in the following year.
Reporting requirements for the 2025/26 year
We have updated the NEPM collection template for this Network Environmental Performance reporting round.
The Network Environmental Performance Measures and Guide remains the same as last year.
We have also developed FAQs to help you understand what is required and how to submit your data.
The information you provide helps all of us understand network performance, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and track progress over time. It is also an important way of providing the public with information about the performance of their water services. Taking a few extra minutes to check your submission before sending it can help reduce follow up queries and improve the quality and usefulness of the data.
Before you press submit, we encourage you to check:
- Decimal places are in the correct position
- Values have not been entered with missing or extra zeros
- Totals and subtotals reconcile
- The correct units have been used
- The data relates to the correct reporting period
- Measures have been interpreted and calculated in line with the guidance
These simple checks help ensure the information we receive is as accurate and as useful as possible.
